Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick

When Marionaud opened their new store in Zurich HB, I received a lovely Begruessungsgeschenk on my first visit. Along with a Rodial lip mask, perfume and skin care samples. there was a sample of the Smashbox Always On liquid lipstick in the colour *Drivers Seat* and I fell in love with it. So much so, I had to go back to purchase one in red!

This slightly vanilla scented liquid lip is said to be an eight-hour, liquid matte lipstick, specifically formulated to be comfortable and not dry out your lips.

‘It gives lips bold, lightweight color with a liquid matte finish ensuring that your lip color lasts up to eight hours. It’s infused with Primer Oil complex to condition lips, and it features a range of 20 vibrant, highly pigmented shades, and a precision tip applicator that perfectly lines and fills your lips.’

I found that the lipstick is indeed very pigmented, both in the sample and in the colours I swatched in store. It does take a long time to set and dry completely and it’s not completely smudge proof, though after a few hours it’s totally kiss-proof! *wink*.

I chose the colour  Bawse, a red matte, and a collaboration between Smashbox and Comedy Youtuber Lilly Singh.

Along with the lipstick, I got the Always Sharp Lip Liner in Crimson.

‘This is a long-wearing, water-resistant lip liner that maintains a precise tip with its unique automatically self-sharpening twisting cap.’

Like with most this liner can also be applied all over lips as a base for lip color.

I totally recommend this range of liquid lipsticks if you’re looking to try something new / different.

So, what do you think?
