Faves and Fail(s) for June/July 2017

I’m a bit late in getting this out but I’ve just got back from a glorious week in Malta!

First in my favourites in an absolute winner: the Urban Decay Velvetizer I don’t know how I’ll live without this fine, mattifying mix-in powder. I’ve used it as both a mix in with foundation powder as well as a setting powder. The velvety feel on my skin remained through most of the day and I felt that my makeup stayed in place a lot longer than normal, especially during the heatwave we experienced a few weeks ago.

Marula oil Intensive hair masque: check out my short review on this as part of the Sophistique box received. I will definitely be buying this hair masque again!

Rituals Express Your Soul foaming shower gel: this limited summer edition leaves you feeling refreshed and smelling fresh as a flower. Be sure to get yours before they run out!

Neutrogena Hydra Boost cleansing facial wipes: these moist, hydrating wipes not only removes makeup (including lip stain) but leaves the skin feeling moist and almost nourished in a way. After receiving my first tester in the Pinkbox, I’ve been out to buy it twice since and will recommend to anyone. **tip ** be sure to keep the package properly sealed as it will dry out. I lay mine facedown on the bathroom counter to be extra sure. On those nights when youโ€™re too tired or lazy to remove the dayโ€™s makeup, then this definitely the solution for you.

IMG_2549My only fail is the Katy Kat Eyes mascara by Maybeline. I found this clumpy and super thick and heavy on my lashes and while trying to remove or brush out product it only added more. Also the brush is a really odd shape, almost spiral for which i couldn’t see any added benefit.

So, what do you think?
