Most used beauty products of 2018

2018 was a year of lots of makeup newness for me, so many new and fantastic products and also networking with amazing bloggers and Instagrammers in Switzerland and globally. My beauty highlight was seeing Jeffree Star at the launch of his line here in Switzerland. I didn’t get to meet him but I got to watch him while meeting those who got tickets; he was kind, friendly and of course, absolutely beautiful. Even though I didn’t wear makeup as often as I would have liked, I did have a few go-to products that I used regularly:

Bobbi Brown blush in Nectar

Truth be told, I’ve had this blush in my collection for a few years. I hit pan on it in 2017 but it just keeps going. I’m sure it’s time to replace it but I don’t think I want to let go of the original round packaging and the memories of the day I bought it.

Beautyblender Original

Many make up brands have tried to make their version of this makeup sponge. While there are comparable ‘dupes’, I still gravitate towards the original. I recently bought the Fenty Beauty sponge and it will interesting to see how it compares. Watch this space…

Mega volume baby roll

L’oreal Miss Baby Roll mega volume mascara

This has been my go to mascara! I love the volume it gives and the colour is so intense that it almost looks like I’m wearing falsies!! I have it in waterproof too which is perfecgt for snow days and going to the pool.

Smashbox vlada

The Petal Metal palette made in collab with VladaMUA has been with me everywhere. Small enough to travel with and offering matte and shimmer for a beautiful neutral to pink look.

Maybelline stay matt

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipstick

Long lasting, intense colour – this has been one of my favourite liquid lipsticks. Besides my growing Jeffree Star Cosmetics collection, I reach for this most on nights out or I want a gorgeous red lip.

Have you tried any of these? What were your favourite or most used products for the year?
